Lovers

A Moment along the Coast

2013 Albert Moyer, Jr.

As the sea mist blows across our skin

And the moonlight lights the way

Your warm beautiful body against mine

Is perfect in every way

The waves wash ashore with musical sound

As the warm water hits our feet

Your lips are moist and sensuous

Your eyes and my eyes meet

So before the sun rises above our head

And this moment passes us by

Let’s embrace with a passionate kiss

To remember this beautiful night

Here is a haiku that captures the feel of Texas In August. It is my least favorite month in our wonderful state.

Welcome to Texas In August

Wet humidity.

A blistering heat daily.

Mosquitos feeding.

Pepperoni – A Haiku

Posted: June 26, 2013 in Poetry

It’s so amazing how something simple as pepperoni can become a haiku. I was making an Italian sandwich when this came to mind.

Pepperoni

Circular tasty

On sandwiches or pizza

Bright red in color

Graveyard Hours

Stars in the night sky.

Moon shining bright overhead.

Calm before rush hour.
