I met this swamp warrior this weekend at a crawfish boil. He brought a whole army of friends just like him. He was very happy to pose for a macro photo.

The last two days have been amazing! What a privilege to witness a piece of history that included the life of Mrs. Barbara Bush, former First Lady, and America’s Grandma. I have always admired her as a person and I knew I could not go without witnessing or taking a few photos of the repose trip that left Second Baptist Church and funeral procession today. There were so many stories about Mrs. Bush and she was loved by so many on both sides of the political aisle. The first two photos are not mine. They are from the card given to guests during the repose viewing at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. I would say may she rest in peace, but knowing Mrs. Bush she is probably already teaching the angels to read in heaven.

In Houston you can find just about any ethnic food you want if you take a little time to browse. One of my favorites is Japanese food. The Seiwa Market located at 1801 S. Dairy Ashford has everything Japanese. If you are a Japanese food fan or curious take a trip and buy a few things. You’ll never know if you like it, until you try it. Here are a few photos from the market that will give you the vibe. I really LOVED the Japanese Ice Cream. I hope you check it out!
