This beautiful recipe is from the book Asian Flavors by Wendy Sweetser. It is one of the best cookbooks I have used covering a variety of Asian regions.

The20thLaunch

Official patch of NRO L-19 mission

Today the U.S. launched an ultra secret spy satellite nrol-65 that did not make the mainstream media except for a few internet sites. You can read about it here http://www.nbcnews.com/science/americas-biggest-rocket-launches-top-secret-spy-satellite-8C11022794 Signs of the season or conspiracy? O.k., if it is conspiracy why dragons, snakes, stars, sorcery, chains, flames, devils, etc. Why not angels, doves, and lambs? Why do we need to tear down crosses? Why are we being spied upon both in America and globally, and why are more spy satellites and equipment operations commencing at break neck speed? Why are things once considered evil being mainstreamed at the detriment to society? It doesn’t take one long to figure out that everything good for mankind is being slowly dismantled and replaced with unhealthy options and choices. At some point all the bricks will be removed and people will say,”We have no cover. ” During that time, it will be a very dark period for those who accept. Symbolism is around for those in the know, and for others to find out what it all means.

Here is a site that describes some of the more sinister patches of the spy satellite program.

If you’re in the light, you can only come to the conclusion that some very dark things are happening, and it is happening really fast.

Today I dabbled with some Vietnamese cuisine. I love it for its simplicity, color, and flavors. Here is where I found the basic recipe.  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/vermicelli-noodle-bowl/

However, I decided to opt out on the shrimp and cook gingered pork instead. You can pretty much add any meat or tofu you like for this dish.

To ginger your pork add about a teaspoon of chopped fresh ginger, two cloves of fresh garlic, one bunch of chopped green onions, and about 4 tablespoons olive oil to a skillet for about two minutes to saute. Add about one pound chopped pork loin, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, stir around periodically until cooked.

Give it a spin in the kitchen. You will not regret it.

These beautiful Cicada’s are so rare in Houston these days. It was nice to see one this evening and have him/her so gracefully pose for a photo shoot.

Lovers

A Moment along the Coast

2013 Albert Moyer, Jr.

As the sea mist blows across our skin

And the moonlight lights the way

Your warm beautiful body against mine

Is perfect in every way

The waves wash ashore with musical sound

As the warm water hits our feet

Your lips are moist and sensuous

Your eyes and my eyes meet

So before the sun rises above our head

And this moment passes us by

Let’s embrace with a passionate kiss

To remember this beautiful night

When I stumbled across this tree on the internet my initial reaction was,”Wow! Majestic.” I am just always thrilled by all the amazing things our world has to offer. Here is the Awesome Banyan Tree.

This is actually an outdoor shelter that I stumbled across while walking a trail. It is not a very good one, but some protection is always better than no protection from the elements.

While walking along a trail I notice this really insteresting looking bark pattern that I have never seen before. I do not know what tree this is, but it has colorful bark. Perhaps one of you will identify this tree.

After reading this article, I found it enlightening because it is correct in so many ways. I did not live years ago, but something tells me that when men spent the majority of their day working and providing for their family, and woman spent the day taking pride in raising their children, cooking wonderful dinners, keeping the house in order, and doing traditional motherly work, their minds had less time to wonder, worry, compare, and want all the time.

With today’s society, a woman can have so many insecurities and baggage with no outlet for it. With the T.V. shows, a woman can formulate her values based on what she thinks is cool by what is presented to her. She can also get her values from her friends. The wrong group of females can take a woman down the wrong path A.S.A.P.  A woman can believe that she should not work, do anything within the home, and her life is to shop, relax, and run around all day, while she searches for a man to tolerate or provide for her. If he doesn’t, it is his fault. Wrong men! That is a misguided woman. Whoa to the man with a woman like that, but unfortunately there are a lot of them out there. On the flip side, there is the career woman who thinks that because she is just as ballsy as a man, and she brings home the bacon, she has to do nothing. You really cannot have a career man and woman in the house that work all the time if there are children, unless you want someone else to be the parent. If you have no children, it can amount to a power struggle.

So men, do not tolerate your woman trying to blame you for her problems. Her baggage and insecurities are for her to own and deal with. You can lend and ear, talk, and perhaps make a suggestion men, but at the end of the day, what is in her mind is her problem. She has to fix it. Unfortunately, a woman can be very manipulative. She will try to make you feel guilty and work your mind into believing you are to blame. If it becomes an annoyance for you that is unbearable, let her go. Otherwise, she will just be poison in your veins.
