Shifting Sands

For the sands are shifting

In an incomprehensible way.

Our moral fabric stripped away.

People talk, walk, and wonder,

” Why are people suffering?”

They cry in agony from the pain.

Their salaries are low,

And the violence is high.

Yet they fail to look up,

And humble themselves to the most high.

For the reprobate mind,

Their eyes are blind.

For they will never see the signs.

They run crazy like ants,

From a mound that has been kicked,

Listening to false prophets,

Only to be tricked.

For their pain is real,

It cannot be denied.

Yet it could all change,

If they ask the Lord,

To be on their side.

Four Course Mother’s Day Meal

Today I cooked a four course Mother’s Day meal. I found all recipes online. The meal consisted of the following:

Appetizers

Prosciutto, Pear, and Fig Tea Sandwiches

Smoked Salmon, Chive Cream Cheese, and Cucumber Tea Sandwiches

Salad

Arugula, Watermelon, and Peach Salad

Main Course

Tilapia with Mango Pico, Garlic Bacon Rice, and Black Beans

Dessert

Caramelized Bananas with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

I arrived on a weekend and I knew I was about to encounter something great because the line for service was stretching outside the restaurant. The workers and service staff take great pride in providing you with the best experience and food possible. The interior has a lot of antiques and historical items and the aromas summon a foodie like the pied piper. The Reubens, sausage sandwiches, and sawdust pie are HEAVENLY!
