Others through coin slots

Nobody Cares – A Haiku

A lack of action

Trade important for mundane

That’s why Earth degrades.

2013 Albert Moyer, Jr.

During general conversation, meetings, and social media, it has become quite clear to me that the majority of people really do not care about what is important. They will complain about what is happening around them, but at the first suggestion of helping the problem, they have things to do, they do not want to talk about it, or the obvious principle is right in front of them, but they dislike it, and do not want to use it. It’s like they know the vegetables will sustain them, but they would rather starve. The world is becoming full of the,”I want!” and “Look at me!” people. We need more,”I do!” and ,”I want to help.” people. Consumers without producers is unsustainable, and for anything to happen there always has to be action. Words without action are useless.

Cajun Dance – A Haiku

Two step and waltzing

Joyous laughter all around

Laissez bons temps rouler friends.

2013 Albert Moyer, Jr.

This haiku was inspired by a gig my band played for the Cajun French Music Association of San Antonio this past weekend. It was a joyous time with gumbo, cakes, beverages, and dancing.

Some days my inspiration for Haiku’s comes from staring at the things on my desk.

Liquid  Paper – A Haiku

Coverage of ink

My written mistakes all gone

Time to write again.

Lovers

A Moment along the Coast

2013 Albert Moyer, Jr.

As the sea mist blows across our skin

And the moonlight lights the way

Your warm beautiful body against mine

Is perfect in every way

The waves wash ashore with musical sound

As the warm water hits our feet

Your lips are moist and sensuous

Your eyes and my eyes meet

So before the sun rises above our head

And this moment passes us by

Let’s embrace with a passionate kiss

To remember this beautiful night
