To capture this macro photo I had to reach under the web and use my camera case

as a background, because the spider would not focus due to all the other plants, sky, etc.

I find these spiders fascinating because they look as if they are smiling.

Today was a great day to get out and shoot some photography and see the beautiful murals around Houston. We have so many great artists and art pieces in our city that you could photograph for days and not get them all. Here is a small sample. Check them out!

Many do not know that the Texas State Capitol is larger than the U.S. White House. It should be because everything is bigger in Texas right? It is loaded with granite, marble, fine woodwork, oil paintings, brass, and much history. I took this series of photos at night for a different perspective and to avoid 105 degree summer heat. Enjoy! And God Bless Texas!

Colorado Bend is a state park located in the far northern part of the Texas Hill Country. It has numerous hiking trails and abundant wildlife for viewing. The big draw is Gorman Falls and the springs along Spicewood Trail. It truly is an amazing place. You could spend weeks, months, and possibly years exploring this grand place. Enjoy the photos!

The Blanco River is another Texas Hill Country favorite that provides excellent paddling, fishing, hiking, along with swimming in the Texas Hill Country. Here are a few photos from my recent trip. Enjoy!

One of the greatest recreational rivers in the great state of Texas is the Guadalupe River. It’s cool crystal clear waters provide life giving water to the Texas Hill Country and a great place for play and photography. Here are a few photos from my recent trip along a 23 mile stretch of the river for leisure. Enjoy!
