2024! What can I say? This year I had some great meals dining out and some made by my family. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special days and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. The good times sometimes are created by taking food that would not otherwise be a selection and turning it into a masterpiece. Meals often trigger great memories for me. It is wonderful to share dinner with friends and family. It was also great to try a few new dishes. Super memories! This year I have chosen to highlight photos of restaurant dishes as well as some of the dishes that were cooked by family members. From top left going right and back and forth down the page we have Casa Rio San Antonio, Top Water Grill, Banh Mi Burger by my daughter, Fusion Taco, Niko Niko’s, Top Water Grill, Shri Balaji Bavan, Rigatoni with Sweet Italian Sausage by my daughter, Pho Ben Bellaire, Fadi’s Meyerland, Thanksgiving Gabby’s BBQ and Mom, and Asian Style Chicken with Stir Fried Vegetables my wife. Food is not only great to taste and enjoy, but a beautiful sight to see. Presentation and placement on the plate are important. Thank you for supporting my blog with your readership and views. I’m going into my twelfth year of blogging now. Working to fit it in between work and my drumming YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/@AlbertMoyerJr. Wow, time flies! May God continue to provide. And may we all learn to love, live, enjoy great meals together, and get along in the way God intended. Bon Appetit!

Kenny and Ziggy’s

When it comes to Jewish food or N.Y. Style Deli, the only place in Houston I recommend is Kenny and Ziggy’s. You have two options, come really hungry, or take home left-overs for another day. The portions are huge and bursting with flavor! My personal favorites are Lox and Bagels, Corned Beef Hash, Cabbage Rolls, Chicken Matzo Soup, on any of the lovely sandwiches, especially the triple decker pictured below. If you still have room to eat after a great meal, you can try the foot long, about four inch wide, chocolate eclair. Let’s not forget the ten inch tall apple pie either. The deserts are magnificent.
