As a young boy, I always thought this bird had a strange name. You know a cock to be a rooster, and then learn a slang term for the word cock, and it all seems so strange.

Whatever the case, the bird itself is very cool looking and one of my favorites. I believe it is geographically located to Peru and the Andes Mountains.

This photo was taken near Galveston, Texas, by another photographer, in one of the musicians yards that I have played with in the past. I learned the mother had four eggs, but only two chicks made it. Killdeers are cool because they run fast like roadrunners and they are pretty.

I never knew this bird existed until someone saw me looking at peacocks and said,”Have you ever seen a white peacock?” I thought to myself,”No way! A white peacock?” Well, it does exist. This bird should be used at weddings. It is beautiful!

These baby mockingbirds are in an orange tree with plenty of thorns. I doubt anything will ever eat them, as I have watched the mother, and father return every year to the same nesting location. I had to be quite careful not to get cut on thorns to get this macro photo.

They macaws are speaking! Look at their eyes. They are saying,”Can you believe all these humans walking by gawking at us and taking photos?”

I took this photo at Moody Gardens Rain Forest Pyramid in Galveston, Texas.

Puffins are one of my many favorite birds. They have this look of playful, intellectual, colorful, birds, in a tuxedo.

I took this photo at the Houston Arboretum. You know a lot of times people worry about how they will be sustained. Look at all this food for the birds in this beautiful photo.

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
