2024! What can I say? This year I had some great meals dining out and some made by my family. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special days and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. The good times sometimes are created by taking food that would not otherwise be a selection and turning it into a masterpiece. Meals often trigger great memories for me. It is wonderful to share dinner with friends and family. It was also great to try a few new dishes. Super memories! This year I have chosen to highlight photos of restaurant dishes as well as some of the dishes that were cooked by family members. From top left going right and back and forth down the page we have Casa Rio San Antonio, Top Water Grill, Banh Mi Burger by my daughter, Fusion Taco, Niko Niko’s, Top Water Grill, Shri Balaji Bavan, Rigatoni with Sweet Italian Sausage by my daughter, Pho Ben Bellaire, Fadi’s Meyerland, Thanksgiving Gabby’s BBQ and Mom, and Asian Style Chicken with Stir Fried Vegetables my wife. Food is not only great to taste and enjoy, but a beautiful sight to see. Presentation and placement on the plate are important. Thank you for supporting my blog with your readership and views. The Year In Food 2022

2022 continued where 2020 and 2021 left off. It was another awkward year with many events affecting supply chains, gatherings, etc. Again, I focused my culinary energy on the good times. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special days and holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving. For me a meal means so much more than filling my stomach. Often there are good times involved and the meal is a marker of those good times. I can often look at the meal photo and remember what happened while I was enjoying it. It was great to share so many great meals with so many great people in 2022. It was also great to try a few new dishes. Super memories! This year, like last year, I have chosen to squeeze in some photos of my own dishes as well as some of the dishes I enjoyed while eating out. Food is not only great to taste and enjoy, but a beautiful sight to see. Thank you for supporting my blog with your readership. It’s been ten years of writing about many things now. Wow, time flies! Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

I celebrated my birthday at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar. It has been awhile since I have posted in my blog. Things have been busy, but I do believe Kura sharing. The food was excellent! I had a blast with the conveyor shooting items to my table and selecting items from the revolving line. If you deposit fifteen plates, a video style screen encourages you, you win a prize. Seiwa Market- Japanese Grocer Houston

In Houston you can find just about any ethnic food you want if you take a little time to browse. One of my favorites is Japanese food. The Seiwa Market located at 1801 S. Dairy Ashford has everything Japanese. If you are a Japanese food fan or curious take a trip and buy a few things. You’ll never know if you like it, until you try it.
