Not to long ago, I posted a photo of the Pink-Necked Green Pigeon. It is a colorful bird. It’s aquatic rival is the Mandarin Fish. It has to be the most colorful fish around.

This photo was taken by unknown photographer.

After having a variety of species of fish over the years, I have learned to love and appreciate the guppy. Guppies are fairly easy to care for, colorful, and give birth to live young. A person who has guppies will never need to purchase fish again. You will be able to give people guppies, because they breed prolifically. They males are so active, one would think they produce their own Viagra. Laughs!

I saw this photo floating around on the internet, and I am not sure captured it, but it is fantastic! I have tried to take photos of my guppies, but their tails flutter like butterfly wings, and they constantly move about. This makes it almost impossible.

So here’s to guppies!

Puffins are one of my many favorite birds. They have this look of playful, intellectual, colorful, birds, in a tuxedo.

This weekend I was biking and took this photo of a windsurfer at Lake Woodlands.

In Houston, on the Northside of downtown, there is a place that has held my heart for many years. This place is Canino’s Farmers Market located at 2520 Airline Drive,  Houston, TX 77009. Canino’s has everything that one can imagine in the way of fresh produce and vegetables at about 25 to 40% less than retail grocery prices. Much of what Canino’s offers is locally grown in Texas. It is a great place to explore, save money, purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, dry beans, rice, nuts, flowers, and local raw honey and preserves. During my trip yesterday, I asked if I could take photos and share them on my blog. The manager graciously approved. So here are some images from Canino’s Farmers Market.

I took this photo at the Houston Zoo. This Chimp has a look on his face. I think it is a look of contemplation. What could he be thinking?

I took this photo around the museum district in Houston. I am always amazed at how beautiful women are even in statue form.

Riding my bike one day, I came across several mosaics inside this tunnel.

These mosaics must have taken hours to do. They are truly art masterpieces.

I took this photo as the llama walked right up to my face. There was no zoom involved. This was taken at Natural Bridge Wildlife Park

This photo was taken at Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. I really love the Gemsbok for it’s coloration pattern.
