2024! What can I say? This year I had some great meals dining out and some made by my family. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special days and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. The good times sometimes are created by taking food that would not otherwise be a selection and turning it into a masterpiece. Meals often trigger great memories for me. It is wonderful to share dinner with friends and family. It was also great to try a few new dishes. Super memories! This year I have chosen to highlight photos of restaurant dishes as well as some of the dishes that were cooked by family members. From top left going right and back and forth down the page we have Casa Rio San Antonio, Top Water Grill, Banh Mi Burger by my daughter, Fusion Taco, Niko Niko’s, Top Water Grill, Shri Balaji Bavan, Rigatoni with Sweet Italian Sausage by my daughter, Pho Ben Bellaire, Fadi’s Meyerland, Thanksgiving Gabby’s BBQ and Mom, and Asian Style Chicken with Stir Fried Vegetables my wife. Food is not only great to taste and enjoy, but a beautiful sight to see. Presentation and placement on the plate are important. Thank you for supporting my blog with your readership and views. I’m going into my twelfth year of blogging now. Working to fit it in between work and my drumming YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/@AlbertMoyerJr. Wow, time flies! May God continue to provide. And may we all learn to love, live, enjoy great meals together, and get along in the way God intended. Bon Appetit!

Homemade Pizzas

There is nothing better than putting your own pizzas together using fresh ingredients from the garden.

I used my own fresh basil for the Margarita pizza which is basically pizza sauce, tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella.

The Hawaiian pizza has fresh pineapple which is 100 times better than canned. The Hawaiian has pizza sauce, fresh pineapple, Canadian Bacon, and mozzarella.

The last one is my take on a supreme with pizza sauce, Italian sausage, Pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, onions, garlic, yellow pepper, and black olives.

This is one of those dishes were I took a look in the fridge and said,”I need to use my leeks and peppers today before they go bad.” So I grab some white clam sauce and linguine from the cabinet. I take my vegetables and saute them in olive oil, garlic, basil, Italian parsley, and add a touch of fresh black pepper and salt. Combine the linguine, clam sauce, and vegetables, and create a magical dish in less than 30 minutes.

Skillet, olive oil, 15 cloves garlic pressed,  one onion sliced, and little sea salt. Saute. Next add one pound of lean ground chuck 90/10. Continue to cook and when meat is medium rare, add one pound of white mushrooms, and cover skillet with lid until mushrooms are cooked.

During the saute process boil a pot of water in a large pot. Add a little olive oil and sea salt. Add one pound of Barrilla Plus Brand Rigotoni.  The yellow box. I prefer this brand because of the ingredients.  Omega 3’s, fiber, etc. It’s not the run of the mill flour based stuff.

Cook pasta. Drain. Add to mixing bowl. Pour in meat and sautéed veggies without draining. Top with Newman’s Own Tomato Basil Sauce.

Serve with Caesar Salad or your choice of side.

For The Vegetarians out there use a meat free hamburger crumble.

Lotsa Garlic Rigotoni!
