Black and White Spiny Orb Weaver Spider
2016 Albert Moyer, Jr. Photography
To capture this macro photo I had to reach under the web and use my camera case
as a background, because the spider would not focus due to all the other plants, sky, etc.
I find these spiders fascinating because they look as if they are smiling.
Here we have a small collection of photos I shot in black in white monochrome of the legendary Luckenbach, Texas made famous by Waylon Jennings song which you can listen to here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvZeYDBY4fw Enjoy the music, the photos, and do stop at the general store, or watch a concert in Luckenbach. You will not be disappointed.
Nestled about 90 miles west of San Antonio is one of Texas’s best state parks. It was once a secret, but no longer as the crowds can get quite large on weekends and holidays. It has many species of wildlife, excellent trails, giant Cypress trees, and the famous crystal clear Frio River for a variety of water activities. Here are a few photos from my recent visit. Enjoy! Recently, I took time to travel deep southern Louisiana. A great stop was Palmetto Island State Park in Abbeville, Louisiana. http://www.crt.state.la.us/louisiana-state-parks/parks/palmetto-island-state-park/
This park is a beautiful place with an ecology like none other. The cabin accommodations are really nice and the staff are exceptional.
Here are some photos from the trip. Enjoy!
Deep Ellum is an urban oasis just East of downtown Dallas, Texas. All throughout the area one will find eclectic shops and independent business along with excellent food. While visiting, I took a few photos of the area. Have a look, enjoy, and make your own visit. I promise you will not be disappointed.
