One of the more interesting places to enjoy a weekend in Texas is the Renaissance Festival located in Plantersville, Texas. This festival is held in the fall so the heat doesn’t kill anybody. When you enter the festival you enter another world. It is like a complete time warp. There are so many different things to see, feel, hear, and taste. My favorite is the men on horses doing live jousting. I could write so much, but I like to let people research on their own. For more information check out http://texrenfest.com/

Here are some photos I have taken at the festival. The characters and patrons are very kind and love to pose.  Enjoy!

I have some great shots from this event. Try the Wild Texas drop down menu button in the header and Texas button or just poke around.

  2. The Texas Renaissance Festival is purported to be the largest in the nation. I went almost every year from 1974 to 1992. Our Renaissance Festival here is this coming Saturday. It’s nothing compared to TRF.
