Tonight, I went back to my new cookbook by Wendy Sweetser called Asian Flavors to cook up this beautiful dish, Fragrant Ginger Chicken with Noodles. It made my insides dance with happiness and delight. It could easily be named YUM!

Today I was in the kitchen experimenting with some Chinese vegetables that I have never eaten. They were Shimeji mushrooms and Choy Sum. I loved them!

Yesterday I went to our church’s first ever doggy day service. There were hundreds of dogs to take photos of all around the field. My eye caught this bulldog sticking its tongue out, so I waited patiently until for this photo opportunity.

Today the U.S. launched an ultra secret spy satellite nrol-65 that did not make the mainstream media except for a few internet sites. O.k., if it is conspiracy why dragons, snakes, stars, sorcery, chains, flames, devils, etc. Why not angels, doves, and lambs? Why do we need to tear down crosses? Why are we being spied upon both in America and globally, and why are more spy satellites and equipment operations commencing at break neck speed? Why are things once considered evil being mainstreamed at the detriment to society? It doesn’t take one long to figure out that everything good for mankind is being slowly dismantled and replaced with unhealthy options and choices. At some point all the bricks will be removed and people will say,”We have no cover. ” During that time, it will be a very dark period for those who accept. Symbolism is around for those in the know, and for others to find out what it all means.

Vietnamese Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with Gingered Pork

Today I dabbled with some Vietnamese cuisine. I love it for its simplicity, color, and flavors. Here is where I found the basic recipe. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/vermicelli-noodle-bowl/
However, I decided to opt out on the shrimp and cook gingered pork instead. You can pretty much add any meat or tofu you like for this dish.
To ginger your pork add about a teaspoon of chopped fresh ginger, two cloves of fresh garlic, one bunch of chopped green onions, and about 4 tablespoons olive oil to a skillet for about two minutes to saute. Add about one pound chopped pork loin, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, stir around periodically until cooked.
Give it a spin in the kitchen. You will not regret it.
These beautiful Cicada’s are so rare in Houston these days. It was nice to see one this evening and have him/her so gracefully pose for a photo shoot.

A Moment along the Coast

As the sea mist blows across our skin
And the moonlight lights the way
Your warm beautiful body against mine
Is perfect in every way
The waves wash ashore with musical sound
As the warm water hits our feet
Your lips are moist and sensuous
Your eyes and my eyes meet
So before the sun rises above our head
And this moment passes us by
Let’s embrace with a passionate kiss
To remember this beautiful night
