In, Texas, you can stir up quite a scene talking about who’s BBQ is #1. Being a native Texan, I’ve eaten a lot of BBQS over the last 50 years. Many are excellent places because the competition is stiff. You either BBQ excellent or you go out of business eventually. What might be #1 to one person is average to another. Sort of like coffee, beer, or iced tea. With that said, SALT LICK BBQ is my new #1. I loved the environment of the restaurant in Driftwood, Texas in the Texas Hill Country. The service was exceptional and the BBQ over-the-top.
